Eder, an employee at a gun shop, traded gunshots during an attempted robbery. The suspect walked into the shop and asked for some ammunition. When Eder had turned to retrieve the requested items, he saw the suspect pulling out a semiautomatic pistol. Eder threw the ammunition at the gunman and drew his own 9 mm. The two exchanged shots and the gunman ran out the front door. When an officer arrived he noted a hole in Eder’s shirt in the center of his chest and as Eder lifted his shirt, a bullet fell to the floor from an indentation in his Second Chance® armor. Eder did not feel it necessary to seek medical treatment after the shooting.
