While conducting a routine traffic stop on his midnight shift, Deputy Lake was conversing with the driver discussing the traffic violation. He heard a swoosh sound and then heard something strike his vest. He looked down and noticed a dart with a blue cap on the end sticking out of his vest and shirt. He looked up and noticed a suspect standing in the bushes. After resisting arrest, the suspect was apprehended and charged with multiple felonies. The dart, which was about 4″ long with a chiseled end, came from a blow gun which was approximately 37″ long. The blowgun and darts were purchased at a local gun and knife show for $5.
We welcome Deputy Wayne Lake, SAVE #886, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
