Officer Quentin Gerbich

Mesa Police Department Mesa AZ Saves Club

Officer Gerbich was on motorcycle patrol when he collided with a car attempting to make a U-turn. Gerbich was seriously injured and airlifted to a local hospital. He had serious injuries to his leg, arm face and head. In addition to wearing a helmet, he was also wearing his Second Chance® body armor at the time of the accident. According to Dr. William J. Hyde, Gerbich’s vest provided protection to both his chest and upper abdomen and limited injuries to these areas. Specifically, according to Dr. Hyde, his armor prevented him from having any fractured ribs, lung contusions or injuries to his limbs. According to Dr. Hyde, Gerbich’s major organs in his chest and abdomen were protected during this accident.

We welcome Officer Quentin Gerbich, SAVE #896, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
