Officer Valentin was in the process of making a narcotics arrest when his arm was pulled into a vehicle by an offender who then accelerated to a speed of about 50 mph before he was able to break free. He then fell to the ground, dislocated his shoulder and slid for almost an entire city block. Though he injured his shoulder, had it not been for his Second Chance® armor and trauma plate, his chest would have sustained substantial injuries.
