While responding to an emergency situation involving three armed suspects that were fleeing from another officer, Officer Boshears was driving his patrol car when he was involved in a accident with another vehicle that made an improper left turn in front of him and failed to yield. Both vehicles caught fire upon impact. The driver of the other vehicle died at the scene.Boshears suffered a variety of injuries including a broken rib, broken knee and torn ligaments. According to his physician, Boshears Second Chance® Armor saved him from serious internal injuries.
