Officer Briana Rivera was on duty attending to an auto accident. She was crossing a main fairway on foot and was struck by a 2000 Chevy Cavalier. She was thrown into the front windshield and smashed it in with her body. Rivera was then carried for some distance on the hood of the automobile and was finally thrown off and came to rest approximately 6 feet in front of the Cavalier. A witness stated that the driver of the Cavalier was going too fast.Rivera was treated and released at a local hospital. Attending physicians stated on their report “she thankfully had a bulletproof vest on that took the blunt of the impact away from her chest, ribs, spine and cervical cord – all of which were undamaged.”
We welcome Officer Briana Rivera, SAVE #928, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
