On arrival to call of a male shooting a “long gun” from his back porch, Officer Palmer was met with a hail of pellets from a 12ga. shotgun. Palmer received wounds to his left arm and across his left chest area. On removal of his uniform shirt, after the suspect was taken into custody, Palmer found 12 “00” Buck pellets embedded in his Second Chance® vest in the area of the left breast.
