Officer Guzie and three other officers were executing a Serach and Seizure Warrant on a suspected drug house. Officers knocked on the door and announced themselves, no body opened the door, so they rammed the door. All four officers were shot upon entry of the dwelling. Guzie was shot in the left leg and on the right side of his chest. His Second Chance® Armor held the .45 caliber bullet shot to his chest. He was hospitalized for several days as a result of the bullet to his left leg.This incident makred the most city officers shot in a single incident since 1976. Police found marijuana, cocaine and scales.
