Deputy Clarke was responding to a domestic dispute when he met the offending suspect a short distance from the residence. The suspect’s vehicle lost control, crossed the roadway and impacted Clarke’s vehicle on the driver’s side door.Clarke suffered a fractured pelvis as a result of the collision. According to his physician, Clarke most certainly would have sustained possibly fatal injuries to his chest had he not been wearing his Second Chance® armor.
