There was a large disturbance at a local nightclub. During the disturbance, Officer Dickey was struck by a car. When it struck him, he went over the hood at a 45 degree angle landing adjacent to the passenger door. He sustained head lacerations, a neck injury and minor lacerations and scrapes on his arms.According to his physician, if Officer Dickey had not been wearing his body armor he surely would have sustained serious chest and upper body injuries.
