Trooper Jason Allen had just come on the scene of an auto accident which was the result of a police chase. The driver of the crashed vehicle was shooting at police officers from his car. Trooper Allen was just exiting his car when one of the shots struck his front window and then hit him in the upper chest area on his Second Chance® armor. Jason was taken to the hospital, treated for bruising around the impact site of the bullet, and released.
