On November 18, 2004 at approximately 5:05 am, Officer Robinson, while onroutine patrol, discovered a burglar alarm ringing. Robinson reported the alarm and while checking the perimeter discovered a male subject exiting the location. During a brief fire fight the officer was shot once in the back with a 32 caliber revolver.Luckily for Kenny Robinson, he was wearing his Second Chance® body armor. The projectile struck the officer’s vest approximately 1/4 inch above its edge, inline with the officer’s spinal cord.According to Detective Carlos Diaz, “I truly believe that the Second Chance® vest that Officer Robinson was wearing saved him from serious spinal cord injury if not death.”
We welcome Officer Kenneth Robinson, SAVE #959, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
