Officer Kelly responded to a call from a Best Buy store because someone was trying to cash a fradulent check. The suspect exited the back door of the store and was confonted by Kelly and 2 other officers. The gunman fired shots hitting Kelly on his Second Chance® vest which held the bullet. The suspect then stole a security guard’s truck and a chase ensued. Eventually the police were able to apprehend the suspect by pushing his vehicle off the road with their patrol car. The suspect then emerged from the vehicle with a gun and was shot to death by the officers.
