There was a hit and run wreck in front of the courthouse. The vehicle that ran was found parked at another business. Shortly after it was located, someone noticed a male entering the vehicle and remove a backpack.The person with the back pack was chased until he was cornered. The suspect fired at an officer and missed.At that time Officer Stevenson went to the scene and noticed another officer walking into a dangerous situation. The suspect then began shooting. First bullet hit his calf, second just missed his head and the third shot hit his Second Chance® armor.
