Dectective Winnett assisting other officers in taking a subject into custody for a mental health evaluation came under fire. Winnett took cover in a shed. The suspect fired multiple shots at Winnett through the building wall. Shots struck Winett in the arm and head area. The upper left front of Winnett’s Second Chance® vest stopped multiple bullet fragments.
