On May 19, 2005, Officer Lorance Morrison was directing traffic for the Blue Angles Air Show at Selfridge Guard Base. Morrison was struck by a Dodge Mini Van from the passenger side at 45 MPH, Morrison was ejected from his patrol car. He spent 12 days in Coma with both lungs collapsed, broken left leg, both shoulders and much more unpleasant injuries.
