It was a quiet day of construction detail on Interstate 95 for Dan Sivori. Then word came of a robbery in a nearby town. Local officers were in pursuit, and the fleeing suspects rammed several civilian vehicles during their flight. They were forced to stop near Dan’s location at the construction site. Dan and two local officers approached the vehicle and extracted the driver, but another suspect was hiding in the front-seat area, holding a 9 mm handgun. A struggle ensued, during which Dan was shot in the left hip as well as the center of his chest. The shooter was eventually shot and killed, while Dan was taken to a local hospital, treated and released-alive and well, thanks to his Second Chance® body armor.
We welcome Officer Dan Sivor, SAVE #989, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
