On April 13, 2013 tactical officers were staged for an operation when one operator sitting in a vehicle accidentally activated aflash bang (not a Defense Technology® unit) located in a rear pocket of his PROTECH® Cover 6® Plus HP vest with BA-3A00ZBR01 ballistics. The operator’s PROTECH Cover 6 Plus HP absorbed the blast and prevented serious bodily harm and burns on his back. The tactical operator did suffer from an injury to his ears but is recovering and will be returning to duty.
