European American Armory has long imported fine shotguns and handguns from Germany and Italy. More recently, EAA has expanded its portfolio to include wares from Girsan in Turkey.
Among these, the Girsan Witness2311 is gaining steam in the competition world as a feature-rich 2011 at an excellent price point. The small-framed Girsan Witness2311 Brat is the latest addition to the lineup and is built with everyday carry in mind.
The Girsan Witness2311 Brat: A 2011 Optimized for EDC
Available in either 9mm Luger or .45 ACP, the 2311 Brat features a stout 3.4-inch bull barrel, a steel frame, and a removable aluminum grip frame. The grip frame is styled with checkered polymer stocks and features a removable flared magazine well, extended beavertail, enhanced grip safety, and ambidextrous thumb safety. The nitrite-coated slide has dovetailed Novak three-dot sights.
True to Browning’s original 1911 design, the Witness2311 Brat features an internal extractor assembly and a short trigger, although the grip frame is scalloped to allow for an easier trigger reach.
The main frame features a squared-off trigger guard for those shooters who prefer to extend their offhand to use it as an anchor. Like others in the 2311 family, the Brat has an integral full-size Picatinny rail for use with a weapon light.
The small, but mighty Girsan Witness2311 Brat ships in a hard case with a flush-fit 17-round magazine in 9mm or with an 11-round magazine in .45 ACP. MSRP is pegged at $679. See your favorite online and physical retailers for up-to-date availability and pricing.
