Sig Sauer is expanding into the double-stack 1911 (or 2011-style) handgun market. They have now introduced several variations of the P211 line, including duty and competition models. Sig Sauer has now given the P211 GTO a racecar vibe with the all-new P211 GTO Spectre Comp.
For skeptics, one thing Sig Sauer does exceptionally well is build hammer-fired guns. This includes legacy models such as the P226, P229, and P220. The P211 fits right in. I own a P211 GTO Combat, and it’s one of my favorite handguns to shoot.

FEATURES
The SIG SAUER P211-GTO Spectre Comp advances the P211 platform with Custom Works refinement and features designed for speed, precision, and control.
Chambered in 9mm, the pistol features a precisely crafted 4.4″ bull barrel paired with SIG SAUER’s advanced MACH3D compensator. This 3D-printed design directs gas to reduce muzzle rise and felt recoil, resulting in flatter shooting and quicker follow-up shots. (And it might be the best comp I’ve tested yet.)

The SIG-LOC PRO optic-ready slide allows easy integration with modern pistol optics, while aggressive slide serrations ensure positive manipulation under pressure.
High-polish titanium nitride-finished controls, trigger, and magwell enhance durability and corrosion resistance, giving the pistol the distinctive look of the Spectre lineup. Built on a stainless steel frame with an alloy grip module, it is complemented by custom brass LOK grip panels featuring the GridLOK texture for better balance and a secure, tactile grip.
The package includes P320-compatible steel magazines, including one 23-round and two 21-round options.
ZOOMING OUT
The gold-and-brass finish of the P211 GTO Spectre gives this gun a distinctive race-gun look. While it retains most of the standard features of the P211 GTO, the Spectre truly stands out.
As I mentioned, I own a P211 GTO Combat and consider it one of the best values in the 2011 market. If you’re interested in getting into the double-stack 1911 scene, make sure to check out the Sig Sauer P211 GTO series.
