Beretta Jaguar B22: CADRE NEWS

Cory Ross

I truly enjoy being surprised by a new release. Since the COVID years, most “new” releases have been line extensions rather than new guns or models. Well, Beretta said the proverbial “hold my beer” and launched one of 2026’s cooler guns—the B22 Jaguar. This is a competition-oriented series of rimfire pistols that makes shooting fun again. Let’s dig in.

FEATURES

Beretta USA’s new B22 Jaguar lineup introduces a modular approach to .22 LR shooting, with the Tac Metal and Metal Competition models built for training, recreational shooting, and rimfire competition.

The B22 Jaguar Tac Metal features a modular aluminum chassis, a fixed barrel, an optics-ready Picatinny rail, and ambidextrous controls. Threaded-barrel models offer suppressor compatibility. Tool-free disassembly also simplifies cleaning and maintenance, making it easy to spend more time on the range.

For shooters ready to step into competition, the B22 Jaguar Metal Competition was developed with the Scholastic Action Shooting Program (SASP) and TANDEMKROSS specifically for Steel Challenge-style competition.

It comes equipped with TANDEMKROSS upgrades, including the Steam Demon compensator, Accelerator thumb ledge, fiber-optic front sight, and adjustable Victory trigger, providing additional control and faster follow-up shots. Interchangeable grip panels allow users to customize the pistol’s fit and feel. Both models are chambered in .22 LR and share the same combination of accuracy, reliability, and modularity.

ZOOMING OUT

The Tac Metal is now available for $749, and the Metal Competition arrives soon with an MSRP of $969. Both look like a blast.

I’m also a huge fan of TANDEMKROSS. They build some of the best rimfire accessories available. It’s really cool to see their partnership with Beretta on the Metal Competition, which offers consumers a competition-ready rimfire without needing any additional accessories.

If you want to elevate your plinking game, I definitely recommend checking out the Jaguar B22 Tac Metal and the Metal Competition.
