Heckler and Koch’s CC9 was introduced in late 2024 and was the company’s first serious contender in the slimline pistol market.
Largely, the gun is quite nice. However, with so many options already available, it gets lost in the shuffle. When a new shooter begins their search for their first carry gun, Google and YouTube searches will reveal common options from Smith & Wesson, Glock, Sig Sauer, and Springfield before coming to an option like the CC9. And again, that’s not to say this isn’t a good pistol. I am a fan of it. It just isn’t the first option that comes to mind.
So it’s good, then, that H&K has decided to partner with Iron Valley Supply Co. on an exclusive basis to drive interest and popularity.
SPECS
The Iron Valley CC9 retains all the standard features of the H&K CC9, but forgoes the black slide in favor of an OD green variant that the Iron Valley calls “Kolbolt Kinetic Green.” Iron Velly is a leading distributor in the outdoor space. The standard specs for the CC9 are as follows:

FEATURES
The H&K CC9 is a micro-compact 9 mm pistol designed for daily concealed carry without sacrificing the performance and features of a full-size handgun.
Although it is the smallest double-stack pistol ever produced by Heckler & Koch, the CC9 still offers serious capability. It is built on a +P-rated chassis and features a cold-hammer-forged, cannon-grade steel barrel (cannon grade sounds better, right?).
The CC9’s ergonomics are akin to a full-size pistol, with interchangeable backstraps, a “full-length” grip, and a smooth trigger, making it accurate and easy to control.

For practicality and adaptability, it is optics-ready with an RMSc footprint, equipped with a high-visibility tritium front sight paired with a blacked-out rear sight, and includes a Picatinny-style rail for lights or lasers.
Despite its compact size — less than one inch wide and just over six inches long — it supports 10- or 12-round magazines and features ambidextrous controls and a multi-axis safety system for secure carry and handling. Really, this makes it a very intriguing option for concealed carry.
Zooming Out
In summary, the Iron Valley-exclusive H&K CC9 is the same as any other CC9, but with an OD Green slide. If that’s something that interests you, make sure to reach out to your local FFL to see if they can order it. Otherwise, I recommend checking out the CC9, regardless of color, when you’re looking for your next carry pistol.
