Holosun continues to introduce new and interesting optics to the commercial market. Recent examples include pistol-mounted night-vision red dots and larger night-vision and thermal-capable red dots for carbines. In short, Holosun isn’t afraid to push limits.
In a similar fashion, the new ARO-EVO Dual combines the capabilities of a red-dot sight and a laser aiming device into a single package. This saves both weight and rail space, and I’m very excited about it.
SPECS
The ARO-EVO is a relatively new offering to the Holosun lineup. Even with the additional capabilities of the new DUAL model, it still shares a similar footprint to the ARO-EVO. The standard specs are as follows:
- Model(s): ARO-EVO DUAL
- Magnification: 1x
- Footprint: Aimpoint T2
- Dot Size: 2 MOA, 65 MOA Circle
- Laser: Integrated Visible Green and IR lasers
- Dot Color: Red
- Eye Relief: Unlimited
- Battery Type: CR123A

FEATURES
The ARO-EVO DUAL represents the next step in modern carbine optics. It combines the feel of a red dot sight with built-in visible green and infrared lasers, offering a compact aiming system that performs equally well in bright daylight or under night vision.
The clear window and low-profile housing keep the setup fast and uncluttered, while Holosun’s selectable 2 MOA dot or 65 MOA circle-dot reticle lets shooters balance rapid close-range aiming with precise shots at longer ranges. When optics alone aren’t enough—such as in tight spaces, around barricades, or when using NODs—the onboard lasers are immediately available.
Features like Shake Awake, reticle memory, and a forward-facing light sensor keep operation responsive and intuitive, all powered by a single CR123A battery. By combining day and night capabilities into a single rugged unit, the ARO-EVO DUAL offers versatility without adding weight or taking up rail space.
Zooming Out
To me, the Holosun ARO-EVO Dual is an exciting launch and showcases what optics can be capable of. This optic combines multiple sighting systems into a single package, simplifying everything. However, the intensity of the lasers and their settings aren’t yet released, nor is there mention of the laser controls, but all will be unveiled shortly at SHOT Show.
