With the release of the Generation 6 Glock pistols, the accessory market has had to reset and modify existing product lines to ensure compatibility with the new pistol. To be fair, this is standard whenever an update to an existing platform is released.
In recent years, my favorite handgun accessory has been the Radian Ramjet and Afterburner system. This barrel-and-compensator system delivers unprecedented recoil reduction and match-grade accuracy in a concealed-carry package.
Even better, it features a threadless barrel design that makes installation and removal for cleaning easy. I’m a big fan of this and currently run one on a Sig Sauer P365. So I was unsurprised when Radian released an updated version for the Glock Gen 6.

FEATURES
Radian Weapons has introduced its Afterburner + Ramjet (AB+RJ) system, specifically engineered for Glock Gen 6 pistols, bringing a purpose-built approach to recoil management on the updated platform. Initially launching for the G19 and G45—with a G17 variant to follow—the system is precision machined to match Gen 6 specifications, addressing subtle but critical differences in barrel geometry that prevent safe cross-compatibility with Gen 5 models.
Rather than repurposing existing designs, Radian developed a dedicated system to ensure long-term reliability, proper fitment, and safe operation. The AB+RJ maintains its core performance benefits, delivering reduced recoil, improved muzzle control, and enhanced consistency during extended strings of fire.
ZOOMING OUT
Designed to complement solid shooting fundamentals, the system delivers tangible improvements in shootability. I love it in my P365. I have no doubt it will be equally effective on other platforms. Available in silver and bronze, with an MSRP of $389.95. These will be in demand for the foreseeable future and may be hard to get.
