This is probably unsurprising, but there’s been a theme this year. That theme revolves around the Aimpoint COA exclusivity agreement expiring at the start of the year. This means that any company can now work with Aimpoint to develop and produce COA-compatible handguns with the new A-CUT optic footprint.
While several companies have already debuted these, the latest to do so is Ruger with the RXM.

FEATURES
Lipsey’s has introduced the Lipsey’s Exclusive Ruger RXM COA Edition, a factory-configured 9mm pistol package that combines the Ruger RXM platform with a top-quality optic right out of the box.
Built with a 4-inch barrel, the pistol comes in 15- or 17-round options and is available with frame colors in black, gray, or OD Green. Each model includes a Magpul Enhanced grip, which can be swapped within the RXM ecosystem.
The standout feature is the factory-installed Aimpoint COA Red Dot Sight, a popular optic designed for quick, intuitive shooting. The COA uses a 3.5 MOA dot for fast target acquisition and mounts via Aimpoint’s low-profile A-CUT interface, resulting in a streamlined and durable setup.
With an impressive 50,000-hour battery life, the optic is designed for long-term reliability and everyday preparedness. The RXM platform combined with Aimpoint COA offers a modern defensive pistol setup that is optics-ready—and range-ready—straight from the factory.
ZOOMING OUT
The RXM COA Edition continues an ongoing trend for 2026. More pistols will be released with the A-CUT footprint for the Aimpoint COA. What does that mean? Market acceptance. In conversations with industry folks, Aimpoint has increased and expanded production of the COA to meet demand. It’s good for Ruger to get on board. The RXM has established a solid reputation and offers a ton of value.
