Sig Sauer P365 DH3: CADRE NEWS

Cory Ross

Yes, the Sig Sauer P365 is extremely popular. Yes, Sig offers many options within that platform. And yes, it’s challenging to keep track of all those versions. But the newest addition to the P365 line focuses on performance.

Instead of just a single pistol, it’s a series—entirely built around the MACRO grip module, making this line more of a pseudo-full-size than a compact carry gun. Really, it’s designed for competition—the Sig Sauer P365 DH3.

FEATURES

The P365 DH3 family builds on the trusted P365 platform with a series of feature-driven upgrades designed to deliver duty-level control in an everyday carry pistol. At the heart of the lineup is a slide-integrated expansion chamber paired with a 3.7″ barrel, a design that helps reduce recoil and muzzle rise so shooters can track the sights more easily and deliver faster follow-up shots.

Developed alongside world champion shooter Daniel Horner, the DH3 was specifically tuned to improve recoil management while maintaining the familiar P365 manual of arms. Each model features custom DH3 serrations and lightning cuts, a durable Coyote Cerakote finish, and a flat-faced striker-fired trigger.

The MACRO grip module offers a 17-round flush-fit capacity, is compatible with 21-round magazines, features a removable magwell, interchangeable backstraps, and a longer sight radius. Additional features include a 1913 accessory rail, optic-ready SIG-LOC compact footprint, and XRAY3 Day/Night sights.

The P365-DH3 AXG features an AXG aluminum grip module for improved weight and balance. While Sig also offers a model with a factory-mounted, enclosed ROMEO-X SIG-LOC Compact red dot, the optic mount is beneath the slide, with a side-mounted battery for a low deck height and iron-sight co-witness.

ZOOMING OUT

Personally, I own several variants of the P365 series. My current carry is a modified P365 (with Radian Weapons goodies). I’ve always been a huge fan of this product lineup. The MACRO frame size, along with the “blast-chamber,” really helps mitigate recoil. The aluminum frame of the AXG line is a nice feature if you plan to run the pistol hard and fast. Unfortunately, Sig Sauer doesn’t publish pricing, so be sure to check with your local Sig dealer soon.
