News Desk

Sig Sauer has officially introduced the 1911 XSeries, blending the classic 1911 design with sought-after modern features like low-profile direct mounting of red dots. Three full-size models are currently available, with a compact model expected this spring.

With ultra-low-profile direct-mount optic capability and XRAY3 Day/Night sights, the XFULL series offers extreme sight picture visibility.

Key Features

Bringing a fresh perspective to the iconic 1911 platform, the X-Series caters to the evolving needs and preferences of today’s shooters. Here’s a look at how the X-Series blends classic 1911 design with modern innovation.

Slide Design

  • Slides are optics-ready, and the 1911-XFULL ROMEO-X model comes with a factory-installed ROMEO-X red dot sight from Sig Sauer Electro-Optics.
  • The slides are cut to accommodate the same sights as the P-series handguns.
  • X-Ray3 Day/Night sights ensure optimal visibility in any lighting condition.
The XSERIES stainless steel slide offers direct mount optic capability with a compact (Shield RMS-c) optic footprint.

Enhanced Components

  • The railed stainless-steel frame has an undercut trigger guard and extended ambidextrous manual safety.
  • All models sport the newly designed LOK G-10 grips for improved handling.
  • The removable steel magwell offers added functionality.
  • The flat blade trigger is adjustable for next-level handling.
  • The serrated checkered front strap helps ensure a secure grip.

The 1911-XFULL is available in three full-size 5-inch options, each chambered in .45 Auto and shipping with two 8-round steel magazines.

  • Nitron frame with optic-ready XSERIES slide (Compact optic footprint)
  • Nitron frame with a ROMEO-X Compact red dot sight
  • Coyote PVD frame with optic-ready XSeries slide (Compact optic footprint)

Sig plans to expand the line in the spring with the 4.25-inch 1911-XCARRY.
