Retay USA is primarily known for importing Turkish-produced Retay sporting and defensive shotguns. Under the umbrella of Banshee Brands of Easton, Maryland, Retay is introducing its first handgun: the Retay RXP 22.

Chambered in .22 Long Rifle, this gun ideally sized for plinking, and comes with 1/2×28 inch treads to serve as a suppressor host. It is a polymer framed handgun with a reenforced 7075 aluminum chassis. The frame features an extended beavertail, a universal light rail and left-side mounted magazine release button, slide release, and manual safety.
The slide is made of aluminum and features rearward cocking serrations and an RMR/RMSc optics footprint to effectively use with a suppressor. On its own, the RXP 22 has a target-adjustable rear notch and a TruGlo fiber optic front sight, which do not add bulk and give clarity in lower light conditions.

The new Retay RXP 22 is mostly right-handed friendly, but the magazine release button is reversible. It is a double action/single action hammer-fired handgun that can be carried cocked and locked or with the hammer down and safety off. The 4-inch 4140 alloy steel barrel is cold hammer forged for long life.
Most notably, the gun is among a growing few .22 semi-automatic pistols with a capacity greater than ten rounds. It comes with standard 13-round magazines, while 18 rounders are also available.
