We are always looking for flexibility in our optics. We want the best of everything in one package. But, like life, that’s not how it works. It’s give and take.
For the AR platform, low-power variable optics (LPVO) are all the rage. They are probably the closest to the “do-everything” optic people want. At the top end, you can engage targets at moderate distances, while at 1x you can engage targets up close.
But even at 1x, it’s still not perfect, which is why many have added an offset red dot at either the 1 o’clock or 12 o’clock position.
This has become so popular that optic manufacturers are now offering combo packages with a riflescope, red dot, and mount. This removes the guesswork, and a single company covers the whole package. Trijicon has followed suit with the Credo 1-10 and RCR combo, offering a premium package to the serious end-user.
SPECS
Trijicon’s combo mounts the Credo 1-10×28 and the RCE red dot on its Q-LOC system, so one setup handles fast work up close and precise shots at distance.

FEATURES
In the new Credo 1-10×28 and RCR Combo, Trijicon sets a versatile low-power variable optic beside a closed-emitter red dot built to take abuse.
The first focal plane Credo features a dual red/green illuminated Segmented Circle Enhanced Reticle. The segmented circle gives you a quick aiming reference at low power, while the illuminated cross dot at the center supports precision at distance.

Subtle wind holds further support longer-range shooting, with a reticle design based on the U.S. Marine Corps Squad Common Optic variant of the VCOG. The accompanying Trijicon RCR features a durable 7075-T6 aluminum housing and a crisp 3.25 MOA red dot.

Trijicon’s Q-LOC mounting system ties the two optics together. Trijicon says it locks securely to the rail, returns to zero, and works without tools. Accessory ring caps and adapter plates let the RCR sit alongside the scope as one aiming setup.
ZOOMING OUT
The Trijicon Credo 1-10×28 and RCR Combo offers a well-thought-out solution for shooters who want more versatility from their rifle optics. By pairing a capable LPVO with a rugged closed-emitter red dot, Trijicon addresses the limitations of relying on a single aiming system. It comes at a premium price ($3,718 MSRP), but serious shooters and professionals get a flexible, purpose-built setup.
