I’ve long been a big fan of the Springfield Echelon pistol series. A full-size Echelon is my primary training pistol and has seen a lot of rounds. Because the VIS optic mounting system is excellent, the Echelon is also my primary testing gun for new pistol dots.
However, my biggest gripe has always been the sights. The white-outline U-notch rear sight just isn’t for me. But there haven’t been many replacement options, especially from my (and many others’) go-to sight brand, Trijicon. Well, they finally heard my complaints from small-town Ohio and have released six night sight options across the family.

Trijicon’s Echelon lineup covers six sets across three product lines.

FEATURES
These are Trijicon’s first night sights for the Springfield Armory Echelon. The six sets come from three product lines: HD, HD XR Suppressor, and Suppressor/Optic Height.

Trijicon HD Night Sights feature a self-luminous three-dot arrangement, photoluminescent paint outlines, and a 2X brighter domed sapphire/tritium front sight for faster sight acquisition. The angled and serrated “U” notch rear sight helps reduce glare while keeping the shooter’s focus on the front sight.
The HD XR builds on that design with a thinner front sight post, providing a wider field of view and more precise aiming at extended distances. For suppressor-equipped pistols, the HD XR Suppressor and Suppressor/Optic Height configurations provide additional sight height while also serving as backup iron sights for pistol-mounted red dot optics.
ZOOMING OUT
Trijicon’s new Echelon-compatible night sights give shooters more options to replace the factory sights, and it’s about time. With six configurations spanning everything from traditional night sights to suppressor- and optic-height setups, there’s something for nearly every Echelon owner.
As someone who regularly runs the platform, I’m glad to see Trijicon enter the arena. I’ll be grabbing a set for my personal setup.
