Smith & Wesson: Mountain Guns and Titanium Cylinder Ultimate Carry

Smith & Wesson has released four new revolvers in collaboration with Lipsey’s. These include the Mountain Gun Models 629 and 686 and the Ultimate Carry (UC) Models 432 and 632. None of these models feature internal locks.

Mountain Gun Models

The new Mountain Gun Models 629 and 686 are designed with a lightweight configuration for outdoor activities. (Smith & Wesson)

Key features include

  • Tapered Barrel: Reduces overall weight.
  • Brass Bead Patridge Front Sight: Enhances sight acquisition.
  • TGW Bear Hug Grips: Walnut grips from Tyler Gun Works for a secure hold.
  • Round-Butt Frame: Provides ergonomic handling.
  • Stainless Steel Construction: Offers durability and corrosion resistance.

The Model 686-Plus Mountain Gun has a seven-shot cylinder and is built for Magnum® loads. The Model 629 Mountain Gun is part of the large-frame revolver line, designed for heavy use. Both models include a ball detent lockup, an enhanced forcing cone, and chamfered charge holes.

Titanium Cylinder Ultimate Carry Models

The Titanium Cylinder Ultimate Carry (UC) Models 432 and 632 are designed as lightweight revolvers for concealed carry. The Limited Edition SOA model at the bottom has VZ Grips made of G10, designed in collaboration with Lipsey’s. (Smith & Wesson)

  • Bright Dot Tritium Front Sight: Equipped with XS Sights for visibility in low light.

  • Textured Synthetic Grip: Provides secure handling.

The revolvers have aluminum alloy frames, a barrel length of 1.88 inches, and a weight of 16.6 ounces.
