In recent years, Smith & Wesson has been making waves with its M&P family of firearms, from the Shield to full-size metal-frame models. Big Blue has completely revamped the entire line. This latest model follows that approach, but this time it’s in the larger 10mm lineup: the Performance Center M&P M2.0 Carry Comp.

FEATURES
The Performance Center M&P 10mm M2.0 Carry Comp is an upgraded version of the existing M&P 10mm platform. Its upgrades center around improving control, accuracy, and versatility. Built around the reliable M&P M2.0 frame, this pistol combines the power of the 10mm Auto with an extended, ported barrel and slide that push gases away from your sight. All this while reducing muzzle rise and felt recoil, enabling shooters to stay on target longer and shoot faster.
The optics-ready slide fits today’s duty-grade red dots, paired with tall sights for dependable co-witnessing. The Performance Center-tuned flat-face trigger offers a smooth, consistent break with a positive reset, while the 18-degree grip angle and interchangeable backstraps ensure a secure, natural hold.
The pistol has a 15+1 capacity and ships with two magazines. Rounding out the features is Smith & Wesson’s Armornite finish.
Zooming Out
The 10mm Carry Comp marks a natural extension of the M&P 10mm line. The features are similar to those of other Carry Comp models, but I’m sure they will have a more pronounced effect on the hotter 10mm round. MSRP is right in line with similar offerings, but I expect the street price to be a bit better.
