SHOT Show Roundup: New Revolvers for 2026

Shane Jahn

Revolver fans have some neat options to look forward to this year. While there weren’t a ton of new wheel guns unveiled at the ’26 SHOT Show in Las Vegas, there are a few, and some traditional guns that have been upgraded that I think you will find interesting.

Bond Arms

Bond Arms derringers don’t fit in the revolver category, but they are worth a look as an option for a small, powerful handgun you can always have on you. The Bond team always comes up with something different each year that is well-received by handgunners.

This year, they fit small suppressors on a couple of their guns, and the reaction from attendees was enormous! I always go by to visit the Bond booth, and the first time I walked by, there was a crowd of folks around their tables. Suspecting they had something cool, I returned later to find the suppressed derringers. The demand is there, so I expect we will see these available down the road.

They also have a ‘Merica 250th anniversary derringer in 45-70 Government, along with the America 250th edition in stainless steel or black Cerakote chambered in .45 Colt/.410

Charter Arms

Charter Arms upgraded their Pathfinder revolvers in .22 LR to an 8-shot capacity cylinder called the Pathfinder II. These handy revolvers sport 3-inch barrels, adjustable rear sights, and a good-for-middle-aged-eyes orange ramp front sight. They only weigh 20 ounces and come in an OD green anodized frame with black passive components, an all-black anodized frame, or a clear anodized frame with stainless steel components.

Their Target Double Dog comes with five-shot cylinders chambered in .357 Magnum or 9mm. This gun sports a 4.2-inch ported barrel for low-recoil shooting.

The Coyote Off Duty is an aluminum-framed double-action-only (DAO) revolver chambered in a five-shot .380 ACP. It has a 2-inch ported barrel, green fiber optic front sight, and weighs a scant 13 ounces.

For those wanting a DOA sub-nosed revolver in a larger caliber, the Boomer Off Duty is chambered in .44 Special. This gun is made for up close work, no sights, just a wide trench along the top strap for fast shooting at “right here!” ranges.

The Walker .22 LR Off Duty is another snub-nosed revolver with fixed sights. It will be available on their website soon.

Cimarron

Cimarron Firearms announced the U.S. Cavalry Henry Nettleton Buffalo Soldier. This classic revolver mirrors Colt’s Single Action Army (SAA) with a color-cased frame and standard blue cylinder and barrel of 7.5 inches. It comes with one-piece wood stocks and is chambered in .45 Colt.

Colt

Colt has reclaimed their revolver position and is offering a variety of double-action revolvers. For those of us who have wished Colt would make the Anaconda in a blued version, wish no more! I shot these guns on range day, and they look great. The first guns will be offered in .44 Magnum, and I’m told we will see them in barrel lengths of 4.25, 6, and 8 inches.

Chiappa

Chiappa added a couple of cartridge chamberings to their unique Rhino revolvers, the 10mm and .44 Magnum. They also have a single-action hunting revolver out called the S.A.A. Black Thunder. This all-black gun has fiber optic front and rear sights and a Picatinny rail on the barrel. It comes with big Hogue rubber grips and can be had with a 5.5 or 7.5-inch barrel and is chambered in .44 Magnum. They also have a new Rhino L-Frame Nebula and Rhinos with a variety of finishes.

Diamondback

Diamondback has a very handy carry gun out in their SDR-A (Self Defense Revolver) with an aluminum frame. It holds six rounds of .38 Special +P, has a smooth DAO trigger pull, and weighs 15.6 ounces. The SDR 2” is a polished stainless gun with a bobbed hammer in .357 Magnum. TALO offers the same gun as an exclusive with a black nitride finish and stainless cylinder. They also have a 3-inch model with a hammer.

Lipsey’s

Lipsey’s Exclusives are always something I look forward to seeing each year. Their biggest hit for 2026—at least so far, the year is young—is the Smith & Wesson Night Guard Series. The Model 386 is a 7-shot .357 Magnum, and the Model 396 is a 5-shot .44 Special. These L-Frame guns weigh about 24 ounces and are very shootable with 3-inch barrels and XS front sights.

Easy packing elegance describes Lipsey’s 2.5-inch Colt Python engraved by Tyler Gun Works (TGW). This gun wears American Holly stocks that look and feel like ivory.

The Field Ethos S&W Model 36 is a classy snub-nosed carry gun. Chambered in .38 Special, it sports a gold bead front sight, action job, bobbed hammer, and TGW walnut boot grips. The Field Ethos magazine is a “must have” for anyone wanting to read entertaining stories from around the globe.

North American Arms

If you ever wanted a belt buckle with a revolver in it, North American Arms offers the 22LR-BBO, complete with a .22 LR Mini-Revolver with a 1-1/8th inch barrel that fits in the buckle. I’d advise not wearing that one to the airport! You might also want to do some checking with your state and local laws before showing it off around town.

The Recluse has a swing-out cylinder in .22 Magnum with a 2-inch barrel and an XS White Dot sight. The PUG-LR features a 1-inch barrel, white dot sight, and is chambered in 22 LR.

Pietta

Pietta made the news with a clone of the Colt Python called the Blacktooth. This initial gun has a six-inch barrel and a nice black finish. The internals mimic the original Pythons.

They have a few new Colt SAA-style guns with the Aluminum Framed 1873 in .357 Magnum and 10-shot .22 LR, the Pendleton in .357 Magnum or .45 Colt, the engraved Cowpoke in .357 Magnum and .45 Colt, and Keeper of the Plains in… you guessed it, .357 Magnum or .45 Colt!

These guns have 4.75-inch barrels. Black powder enthusiasts will be happy to know Pietta has two new guns out with double action and single action versions of the .44 caliber Starr revolvers. They will have a couple of barrel length options to choose from.

Smith & Wesson

Smith & Wesson’s Spec Series R Model 686 is a competition-ready, 7-shot 686. It has a two-tone titanium-colored finish with a silver frame and barrel and black cylinder. Its optics are ready with an Aimpoint ACRO, has an extended cylinder release, and a comped 4.3-inch barrel.

In celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the U.S.A. RK Guns is selling special edition Model 19s and Model 10s with 4-inch barrels and an engraving of the American Flag in the side plate.

Taurus

Taurus has a 20th Anniversary Edition revolver of their popular Judge. This .45 Colt/.410-wheel gun is nicely engraved. They also added the .350 Legend to the Raging Hunter Series, which will make a lot of deer hunters happy.

The latter part of last year, they brought out the 66 Combat, an optics-ready 3-inch .357 Magnum with a 7-shot unfluted cylinder, fiber optic front sight, and bobbed hammer. I’ll be reviewing this gun here for the CADRE Dispatch as soon as I get my hands on one.

Uberti

The Patton by Uberti is an addition to their Outlaws and Lawmen Series. This gun is a copy of the famous U.S. General’s engraved Colt SAA with ivory stocks. Uberti’s Patton is chambered in .45 ACP and has a 4.75-inch barrel and synthetic stocks.

The Butch, as in Old West outlaw, Butch Cassidy, has a worn finish and brass grip frame. This revolver is chambered in the venerable 45 Colt and has a 4.75-inch barrel.

That’s a wrap for new wheel guns. As you can see, there are some good options out there this year!
