In 2026, 2011-style or double-stack 1911 pistols have taken over the industry. Each week, it seems like a new model is introduced or a new company has sprouted up. This week, that train doesn’t slow down, but it’s making a stop all the way from Turkey. EAA, the importer of many Turkish firearms, released the new Girsan Witness2311 XXX, a pistol series designed for everyday carry. Let’s check it out.

FEATURES
The European American Armory Corp. Witness2311 XXX Series offers a more compact take on the double-stack 1911, pairing a reduced grip module, a 3.4-inch barrel, a low-profile magwell, and an ultra-slim magazine developed with Check-Mate. EAA Corp and Girsan Firearms reduced the grip by approximately 25 percent while retaining a 16+1 capacity, creating what EAA describes as its most compact double-stack 1911 to date.

The series includes two configurations.
The Witness2311 CMX XXX features an RMSc optics-ready slide, a tuned trigger rated at a maximum of 4.5 pounds, an automatic firing pin block safety, front and rear slide serrations, lightening cuts, and a two-tone Tungsten and Black Cerakote finish.
The Witness2311 SC9 XXX pairs low-profile 3-dot sights with an accessory rail, an ambidextrous thumb safety, a traditional grip safety, and an all-black Cerakote finish. The CMX XXX has an MSRP of $899, while the SC9 XXX is priced at $599.
ZOOMING OUT
The Witness2311 XXX series exemplifies how quickly the double-stack 1911 market continues to evolve. By shrinking the platform without sacrificing capacity, EAA has created a compact option for everyday carry.
With two configurations priced at $599 and $899, the XXX series also offers a relatively accessible price point in an increasingly crowded category. Whether it can stand out remains to be seen, but the competition clearly isn’t slowing down.
