CZ has introduced a new addition to its SHADOW 2 line with the SHADOW 2 CARRY, designed to bridge the gap between sport shooting performance and everyday carry needs.
Built with input from top-level competitors, including nine-time IPSC World Champion Eric Grauffel, the SHADOW 2 CARRY brings several familiar features from CZ’s competition models into a carry-sized platform. As Eric puts it, “It feels so good in hand that you’ll want to go straight to the range.”
While maintaining the shooting comfort associated with the SHADOW 2 series, the CARRY model emphasizes enhanced safety features and updated ergonomics for daily use. The frame is machined from lightweight forged aluminum, and a new optics-ready system allows direct mounting of red dot sights without an adapter plate. Fixed iron sights remain in place as a backup even when an optic is installed.
The SHADOW 2 CARRY is also the first CZ model to offer a lifetime barrel warranty, covering both manufacturing defects and a loss of accuracy. All barrels are cold hammer forged at the CZ factory to ensure durability and consistency.
Features and Specifications
Trigger Mechanism:
The double-action pull is 10.3 pounds, with a lighter single-action pull at 3.3 pounds. The trigger travel is smooth, with a short reset and a clearly defined break.
Frame:
The frame is machined from forged EN AW-7075 T6 aluminum alloy.
Ergonomics:
The grip shape builds on the design of the CZ 75, further refined for improved comfort and control.
Sights:
Fixed iron sights with luminescent dots are included, serving as a co-witnessed backup even when a red dot optic is installed.
Optics Interface:
The optics-ready slide uses a Shield RMSc and Holosun K footprints and allows direct mounting without the need for adapter plates.
Safety Systems:
Safety features include a decocker for safe hammer release, a firing pin block to prevent unintended discharge, and a double-action trigger system with longer initial travel for added security.
Barrel:
The barrel is cold hammer forged for consistent precision and durability. It comes with a lifetime warranty covering both function and loss of accuracy.
