European American Arms has been importing shotguns, revolvers, and semi-automatic pistols from Germany and Italy for decades. The new EAA Witness 2311, produced by Girsan in Turkey, represents a feature-filled 2011 platform without the usual 2011 sticker shock.

The EAA Witness 2311 C XB is similar to other pistols in the 2311 line, which is to say it is thoroughly 2011 although it is built on a shorter Commander-style frame. It features an anodized aluminum frame and a stainless-steel slide. This single-action hammer-fired pistol has an extended beavertail and grip safety as well as an ambidextrous manual safety inlet into the checkered polymer grip panels.
It features a 4.5-inch titanium nitride finished barrel that sits proud of the barrel bushing and is threaded for 1/2×28 TPI suppressors. The barrel features cocking serrations at the front and rear as well as lightening cuts on both sides near the front sight post.
Instead of a flat black finish as seen on other models, the slide is finished in a black camo cerakote. It wears a conventional dovetailed notch and blade iron sights but comes from the factory cut for an RMS/RMSc footprint optic. In fact, the Witness 2311 C XB ships with the excellent solar-backed Far Dot optic.
The EAA Witness 2311 C XB features a flared magazine well for rapid, look-free reloads and ships with one seventeen-round flush-fitting magazine. This new offering, exclusively through Davidson’s, is now available for order and has an MSRP of $1,249.98.
