Safariland is proud to announce the next step in our collaboration with Axon Enterprise, Inc. — a new suite of holsters and accessories designed specifically for use with the updated Axon Signal Sensor.

Coming later this year, these products will make it easier than ever for agencies to equip their officers with seamless, hands-free technology to capture critical moments when they matter most.
What’s New?
Safariland is introducing 17 updated 6000 series holsters with dedicated integration for the Signal Sensor, along with eight new fits for the recently launched Ballast Duty Holster.
For the first time, we’re also offering six new Signal Sensor-compatible pouches for non-firearm equipment like OC spray, batons, and handcuffs — helping agencies expand camera activation coverage beyond just firearms.

We’ve also made it possible to install the Signal Sensor on a range of existing in-market holsters using an adapter designed for backward compatibility, giving agencies more flexibility whether they’re updating gear or planning future purchases.
Why This Matters
The Axon Signal Sensor, formerly known as Signal Sidearm, wirelessly alerts nearby Axon cameras to begin recording the moment a firearm is drawn from a compatible holster, for both real-time situational awareness and transparent post-incident documentation of Use of Force (UoF) incidents. This ensures critical incidents are captured without officers having to manually activate their cameras — allowing them to stay focused on the situation at hand while enhancing transparency and accountability.
As one officer put it, “Signal took the focus away from me having to activate my camera and I could focus on the threat in front of me.”

At Safariland, our mottos is “Together, We Save Lives.” Protecting those who protect us has always been at the core of what we do. This expanded product offering is another way we’re helping public safety agencies capture the whole picture — in the moment and after the fact.
