Whether you use it for competition, training, or plinking, the Sig Sauer P322-COMP is made to run fast and shoot flat. It’s the new variant of the Sig P322 semi-auto .22LR pistol that came out in 2022. The original has multiple effective features, and the new one raises the bar. Let’s take a look.
The original Sig P322 was the first rimfire handgun to be entirely engineered and manufactured at the Sig Sauer plant in Newington, New Hampshire. Key features of the original P322 include interchangeable flat and curved trigger shoes, an optic-ready design, and a 20+1 round capacity.
Now SIG has added a barrel-mounted compensator to the P322 design to reduce the muzzle rise, making it more fun, even faster to shoot, and flat on target.
Beyond the barrel-mounted compensator, the P322-COMP also features a slide-mounted racker, sport takedown lever, and extended magazine release for quicker operation. The ROMEOZero ELITE red dot sight helps with fast target acquisition, and since the pistol ships with one 20-round and one 25-round magazine, it offers plenty of rounds on tap.
Other features include the aesthetically appealing two-tone contrast of the slide and frame, fiber-optic front sight, and thumb rest. It even comes with a thread adapter so it can be run suppressed if desired.
