C&H Precision is known for its optic mounting plates, especially for finding better options. They quickly became dominant in this niche. However, in recent years, many manufacturers have developed their own, more advanced in-house optic mounting solutions, reducing the demand for aftermarket plates. As a result, C&H has smartly shifted into the optics market. Their initial products targeted pistols, while the latest offerings, the STRYKR and ERD, now target duty rifles.

ERD FEATURES
The ERD is a next-generation enclosed-emitter red-dot for rifles, pistols, and personal defense weapons, emphasizing speed, durability, and clarity. Its large 30mm lens offers ample field of view for quick target acquisition and situational awareness. Made from reinforced 6061-T6 aluminum, it handles +P, +P+, 5.56, and .308 recoil, ideal for duty use.
A Picatinny mount with a T-2 footprint secures the optic, and a side-loading CR2032 battery allows easy changes without removal or re-zeroing. Other features include recessed controls, a waterproof and shockproof build, an enclosed emitter, and a lifetime guarantee, making it a no-nonsense choice.
STRYKR Features
C&H Precision’s STRYKR is a purpose-built, enclosed-emitter red-dot sight designed for the Flux Raider program but suitable for any duty firearm, defensive setup, or competition rig. Built around a standard 1913 Picatinny mounting interface, the STRYKR features a machined aluminum body that is shockproof, waterproof, and durable for heavy use.
It provides a 50,000-hour battery life from a CR2032, recessed and protected windage and elevation adjustments, tactile brightness controls, and a dual-screw mounting system. Available in red or green, the STRYKR includes a lower one-third co-witness riser and is backed by C&H Precision’s lifetime guarantee.
ZOOMING OUT
Both the ERD and STRYKR seem to be well-designed optics for users. The STRYKR is particularly interesting to me since I built a Flux Raider several years ago (before they were cool), and I’m eager to see how it compares to a standard reflex sight or red dot. The price and availability of the ERD aren’t yet listed, but the STRYKR will sell for $349.99 and is expected to ship soon.
