FEATURES
Smith & Wesson expands its metal-frame lineup with the M&P M2.0, a purpose-built pistol designed for control, durability, and optic-ready performance. It features an aluminum frame with a black anodized finish and an 18-degree grip angle, providing shooters with a stable, natural point of aim. The pistol is further enhanced by four interchangeable palmswell grip inserts and an improved grip texture that helps lock the gun in place.
The flat-face trigger promotes consistent finger placement for repeatable accuracy, while aggressive slide serrations and a stainless-steel slide with an Armornite finish reinforce its workhorse pedigree. A 4.25” 1:10” twist stainless steel barrel, also finished in Armornite, anchors the platform.
The slide is cut for the AIMPOINT ACRO and includes the ClearSight Cut to divert gases away from the optic, along with a cover plate. Optic-height night sights, no thumb safety, and two 17-round magazines round out the package.
ZOOMING OUT
I’m happy to see more manufacturers offering models with dedicated optic cuts. It reduces the risk of failure when stacking tolerances with plates. The ACRO itself has gained wide popularity and is highly regarded by professional end users. I’m excited to see what other optic-dedicated platforms Smith & Wesson releases.
