Following in the footsteps of the M1911 and the Beretta M9, Sig Sauer’s M17 and M18 were the first polymer-framed pistols to officially be adopted in large numbers by the U.S. military.
Naturally, the civilian market soon saw significant demand for the same gun the military uses, so it didn’t take long for Sig Sauer to release a civilian variant with the P320-M17 and P320-M18. Aftermarket support, including holsters, for these guns swelled in short order, and the modular nature made them stand out among other manufacturers.
And now, Sig has brought the M17 and M18 to a new level by outfitting them with the most advanced XSeries features.
According to the company, the all-new Sig Sauer M17X and M18X bring the performance and reliability of the M17 and M18 to a new level with the most advanced features of the P320X Series. Both pistols include:
- Factory-mounted ROMEO-M17 red dot.
- XSeries coyote tan grip module with extended beavertail, aggressive grip stilling, and deeper undercuts for greater control. The grip module is also fitted with a magwell extension for faster and more accurate reloads.
- XSeries flat blade trigger for increased tactile response and greater accuracy.
- Three 21-round magazines.
