Garmin has released its latest smartwatch in the new Instinct 3 Tactical Edition. The Instinct 3 Tactical smartwatch is available in two different styles and a choice of three case sizes, but all are made for use and abuse, whether you are in the field or the urban jungle.
We tend to baby our smartwatches, but the Garmin Instinct 3 is one we need not worry about. It features chemically strengthened glass and an aluminum-reinforced polymer bezel, along with a weather-resistant silicone band. The case itself is made of fiber-reinforced polymer and is made redundantly thick for all that fits inside. It is shockproof and features a water rating of 10 ATM.

The AMOLED model comes with up to 4 GB of memory and a maximum battery life of 24 days with the AMOLED display enabled. The watch tells the time, the temperature, and has both a GPS system and a compass for navigation. For those who like to shoot, the Instinct 3 Tactical also comes with a ballistic calculator.
In addition, the Instinct 3 features 24/7 health services that track sleep score, pulse oxygen, and training status. You also get a wallet as the Instinct 3 is compatible with Garmin Pay. The Instinct 3 Tactical edition watches come with a 45mm or 50mm solar-powered display and a 50mm AMOLED display. The 45mm and 50mm models come with an integral flashlight for low-light illumination.
The Solar Tactical model has all the same great features as the AMOLED Tactical model, except it uses a monochrome display and has up to 40 hours of battery life. It can be continuously topped off as it is solar-powered.
The Garmin Instinct 3 watches are now available. Choose between the AMOLED Tactical model with an MSRP of $599.99 or the Solar version with an MSRP of $499.99.
