XS Sights introduced an ACRO optic plate for Gen 6 Glocks and R3D 2.0 night sights for the Glock 43X/48 COA on October 7, 2026. The plate has an $82.99 MSRP, and the sights have a $152.99 MSRP.
I know, optic plates and new sights aren’t the most exciting things to discuss. They’re kind of like offensive linemen—if you don’t hear their name called, they must be playing well (or they get flagged for holding or a false start, and then you know they messed up). Meaning, we don’t think about these things until something goes wrong.
I’ve had plenty of experience with bad plates and sights. Good ones from a reputable brand make it less likely they’ll let you down at a critical time. So, it’s great that XS Sights, a respected manufacturer in the industry, has released an ACRO plate for Glock Gen 6 pistols, along with upgraded COA-compatible sights for the 43X/48. Let’s check them out.
XS Gen 6 ACRO Optic Plate
ACRO Plate Specs

ACRO Plate Features
XS built the plate for ACRO-footprint red dots, such as the Aimpoint ACRO, on Gen 6 Glocks like the Gen 6 G45. Each steel plate is precision CNC-machined, and XS says the design provides 30% more thread engagement, greatly reducing the risk of shifting under recoil. The BlackNitride finish adds corrosion resistance for long-lasting performance.

R3D 2.0 Features
XS designed the R3D 2.0 for self-defense on COA Glock 43X and 48 pistols. These 3-dot, notch-and-post night sights have a green or orange Glow Dot front sight with tritium in the center. The dual-illumination design makes the front sight larger and brighter than the two rear tritium dots, drawing your eye to the front sight and downrange target.
The wide rear notch offers more visible indexing to support faster, more accurate shooting. The sights carry XS’s Limited Lifetime Warranty, and tritium products add a 12-year illumination warranty.
ZOOMING OUT
These might seem like basic releases, but trust me, good components matter. I’ve used a ton of XS sights and accessories, and I really like them. I’ve never had any issues with them breaking or failing. And that’s the whole point (whereas I’ve been disappointed by my Cleveland Browns for decades).
